Hello! My name is Rebecca Schneider and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received my Bachelor of Social Work from Carthage College and my Master of Social Work with a concentration in mental health and trauma from the University of Denver. I have experience providing therapy to adolescents and adults in community mental health and private practice settings. I specialise in trauma, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, life transitions, LGBTQ issues, sexual abuse, domestic violence, and dissociation. I integrate different therapy modalities based on what each client needs.
I approach therapy in a collaborative way. I use a person centred approach and trauma informed techniques. I often use humour in sessions. I ask questions and engage in open dialogue in each session. I work with clients on identifying underlying thought patterns, learning skills, and seeing situations from different viewpoints.
