Pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period is a time of transformation in a woman’s life. During this time the mother needs care and encouragement from her circle of support. Unfortunately, many women do not receive the care and support they need during this time in their lives. I hear from women daily who have struggled through infertility, difficult pregnancies, miscarriages, stillbirths, traumatic births, postpartum depression and anxiety with little support. I have spent the past 20 years working with and empowering women throughout challenging moments in their lives. I understand a woman's need for a safe and nonjudgmental environment to be open with her inner most feelings. I utilize cognitive behavioral, psycho-dynamic and solution focused treatment modalities along with a mind body approach to healing.
Regardless of the approach we use, I feel strongly that the therapeutic relationship and trust are vital to the healing process. Finding the right therapist can be a difficult process.
