About
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). I earned my Masters Degree from Boston University School of Social Work in 2000. I have over 21 years of experience working with adults and have practiced in college counseling centers, health centers, and outpatient settings. My approach is flexible and strength-based. I adapt my clinical approach to each client based on their needs to help them make healthy changes in their lives. I offer brief and long-term treatment for a variety of issues including depression, grief and loss, anxiety, trauma, stress management, women's issues, and substance abuse.
I use various orientations including person-centered, existential, positive psychology, psycho-dynamic, mindfulness and aspects of cbt and adlerian. I am trained in EMDR and Brainspotting to treat trauma, depression, and anxiety. I work with first responders on critical incident issues. I also supervise beginning therapists and as a consultant.
I am located near Newton-Wellesley Hospital. There is ample public parking.
