About
Is your child overly worried or fearful? Do you have a stressed out teen who is struggling with change? Are you a new or overwhelmed parent in need of effective parenting strategies and a confidence boost? As a licensed clinical psychologist, I am dedicated to improving the lives of children/adolescents, young adults, and families with compassionate, supportive, and evidence-based therapy and parent coaching. Our solution-focused sessions will look at what is working well for you now and how to make changes to your thoughts, behaviors, coping skills, and relationships in order to feel better and stay better.
I provide cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavior, and interpersonal therapy for anxiety, OCD, and feeding/eating disorders in a professional, confidential, and caring environment at the Commons. I have specialized training in pediatric health psychology (coping w/ chronic illness/medical issues) and endorsement in infant mental health.
"The best way out is always through," and I consider it a great honor to help your family through your struggle. Therapy works best when you feel comfortable, so I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to help you determine if we will be a good fit before your visit. See my website for more information about my services: www.birchwoodpsych.com.
