Do you have a specific therapy goal, but you're not looking to start a new long-term weekly therapy relationship? If you know what you want to work on but you don't want getting the help you need to be a "whole thing," I may be able to help.
I am limiting my practice to clients who are looking for short term therapy around a clearly defined goal for treatment. You may already be doing talk therapy but seeking adjunct EMDR therapy to help you get unstuck. Or, you may be looking to work on a specific problem that you know talk therapy alone won't address.
If you have done previous work in talk therapy, your prior credits transfer!
I have completed training in CBT (addresses how negative thinking and behavior patterns affect mood), EMDR therapy (addresses negative cognitions, intrusive thoughts, and physical sensations caused by trauma), Polyvagal Informed therapy (teaches you how to ease nervous system distress), and Flash Technique (rapid desensitization to decrease high distress.)
My goal for providing treatment is to help you not only achieve a reduction of symptoms, but also to gain a sense of empowerment. I am approachable, practical, and straight-forward. My client's goals and preferences are very important to me. I do my best work with people who have a specific goal for treatment, such as overcoming a specific block.
