Psychological well being is an important aspect of overall health. Counseling can be a way to work through difficult life situations, manage symptoms of anxiety, depression, or other conditions, or a way to explore new avenues of coping. I believe counseling works best when both the therapist and the client are actively involved in the process. I believe therapy should be catered to the individual and the client should be seen as a whole person rather than broken apart into their symptoms.
I understand that finding a psychologist that meets your needs and that you can feel comfortable discussing private information with can be a difficult process. My goal is to create an environment where people of all backgrounds can feel comfortable through an honest, genuine, and therapeutic counseling relationship.
I have experience working with individuals experiencing anxiety and depression, individuals dealing with family pressures and relational issues, and men and women in active addiction and recovery. I have worked with diverse clientele including racial and sexual minorities.
