I have been working as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for over ten years, and as a community social worker for fifteen years. My previous places of practice include domestic violence shelters, high schools, foster care agencies, and community health clinics. I enjoy working with teens and young adults as they navigate the pressures of becoming independent and the tensions that may occur throughout that process. I specialize in supporting clients with anxiety, chronic depression, issues with communicating, struggles with family of origin, relationship conflict, and feelings of being an “outsider.”
I believe my role as a therapist is to help you untangle the “knots” in life sometimes created by relationships, life transitions, loneliness, social discrimination, body trauma, religious trauma, or difficult childhood experiences. I use a variety of talk therapy approaches based on the needs of my clients.
During our time together, I hope to provide relief from the overwhelm of life, help you add coping tools to your toolbox, and strengthen social support in your own community. You deserve a safe and compassionate space and I look forward to connecting with you.
