If you or a loved one are struggling at work, school, or in relationships, a psychological assessment may be an important first step in any intervention plan. I have over 15-years experience in evaluating children, adolescents and adults with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, personality disorders, psychosis, trauma (physical and psychological), and learning disorders. I aim to help a person, his or her family, and/or outpatient treater to better understand the core issues, specifically those issues that are getting in the way of a person functioning productively in school, work, interpersonally, and/or emotionally.
While training at The Menninger Clinic, I found psychological testing to be an invaluable part of the treatment process. However, this component is often underused in outpatient settings. Therefore, my goal is to provide high quality evaluations to outpatients, with as much care and respect as those offered to inpatients.
Rather than describe a battery of tests, I aim to describe a person with thoughtfulness and sensitivity. The report may then be provided to school administrators, therapists, and/or psychiatrists to help clarify diagnoses and inform treatment.
