A positive connection with your therapist is one of the main contributors to your growth in therapy. I hope to meet you where you’re at, supporting you with empathy and understanding. Therapy may be for venting, working through a crisis, increasing self-confidence, managing anxiety or depression, identifying roadblocks, or processing trauma. My therapy practice facilitates emotional + cognitive awareness, and a biological understanding, learning how past experiences inform our present day selves. This translates into care: practicing mindfulness, self-compassion and identifying strengths that help carry you through times of change.
Art therapy is another mode of self-expression. You don’t have to be an artist to be creative; and in the therapeutic environment there is no judgement or critique. You may dig deep to explore, learn something new about yourself, further develop your identity, or find relief. Art, combined with conversation, is just one possible treatment option.
I will create a venue for open reflection, engaging questions, and thoughtful feedback, finding a pace and style that feels most comfortable to you. Together we will cultivate a place of safety, meaning, and compassion. I believe positive mental health helps you find joy and fulfillment in everyday life. I look forward to meeting you!
