Are you tired of being tired from a lack of sleep? Stressed, depressed, or anxious? Struggling with chronic pain or a medical condition that compromises your quality of life? These are just some of the issues I treat as a clinical health psychologist. What’s called the “biopsychosocial model” reflects the interaction between biological, psychological, and social/environmental elements of our lives. Because these areas are intertwined, I take an integrative approach to treatment that also includes the spiritual aspect. In fact, the contribution of each area to our overall well-being was the inspiration for my logo back in 2008.
I’m a firm believer in providing evidence-based skills for insomnia, anxiety, PTSD, depression, chronic pain, etc. I find EMDR to be highly effective for treating trauma, and incorporating biofeedback into CBT is particularly empowering for teaching clients how to calm their physiology. I'm also very excited to now offer Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT)!
I’m a Christian and am entirely comfortable working with persons from a variety of faith backgrounds, as well as those for whom religion or spirituality is not an important part of their life. If any part of my profile resonates with you, I would encourage you to take advantage of the free 15-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit.
