I am Becky Dickinson, a Licensed Master Social Worker with over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. I am passionate about helping both children and adults achieve an improved sense of well-being and functioning. I work from a strengths-based perspective, assisting clients in identifying their areas of strength and mobilizing them to address what they want to work on. I specialize in depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, trauma, adjustment and life-change issues, and substance use disorders. I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work from Michigan State University.
Providing treatment in various settings has allowed me to better understand and tailor treatment to my clients. I take a strengths-based perspective and use treatment approaches such as motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, and coping skills training.
