Hello, my name is Rebecca Cope, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Santa Cruz, California. I am working statewide with adults via telehealth in English and Spanish. I have 20 years of experience as a psychotherapist and specialize in perinatal mental health, gender-affirming care, LGBTQA+ issues, couples' issues, sexual concerns, and parenting. My approach to therapy is very strengths-based and affirming. I believe we all have a "superpower" and a “kryptonite”.
I support my clients in recognizing and reinforcing their superpowers while also building their skills and confidence in the areas that are difficult for them. I use a mix of techniques that can help relieve anxiety and acute distress quickly.
