Starting therapy can be hard and you are brave to be here taking this first step. I’m passionate about helping clients and families accept themselves and each other. My goal is to create a safe space that allows you to meet yourself exactly where you are and shift the way that you or your child interacts with the world. I have experience supporting clients with anxiety, adoption/attachment needs, depression, grief/loss, mood disorders, parenting support, relationship issues, and trauma. As an EMDR trained therapist together we can process feelings, memories, and trauma that may be too difficult to manage alone.
When working with children I use play therapy, a developmentally appropriate approach. Play is the way children understand the world and toys are the child’s words. I hold the space for children to play what they may not be able to say. I require parent involvement to ensure parents are included and supported throughout the child’s experience in counseling.
I approach adolescent and adult clients with compassion and authenticity; walking alongside them as we process past, current, and future experiences. I believe in the power of the therapeutic process and would be honored to be a part of your journey.
