Hello, I'm Rebecca Zabinski, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in Minnesota. I am originally from New Mexico and met my husband in the United States Air Force. I am a woman veteran and have grown to love Minnesota and everything it has to offer. I have 3 boys and love my animals. I have over 11 years of experience in the counseling world and started my career in the Air Force. My approach to therapy is meeting people where they are at and coming up with some goals together so that there is a common focus between us.
I prefer to use cognitive behavioral therapy and attachment based techniques in therapy most of the time. I believe that therapy is a collaborative effort between the client and the therapist. I think setting goals together is an important part of building trust in the therapeutic relationship.
My style is relationship focused. I do like to ask questions that help clients reflect and come up with solutions for themselves. I like to have a focus of the week in mind between sessions to stay on track with our goals together. Trust is important to me.
