Hi! I'm Rebeca Aceret. I am a BIPOC, bilingual, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. My experience has focused on working with families and at-risk children for the last 16 years. I use a client-centered approach which has allowed me to build trusting and effective client relationships. Additionally, I am a trauma-informed clinician who has worked in the Foster Care system for several years. I work with children and families impacted by child abuse, domestic violence, substance abuse, immigration issues, cultural differences, depression, anxiety, and trauma.
Because the bulk of my career has focused on working with at-risk youth and their families, this has allowed me to work with a wide range of difficult issues some of which include childhood trauma, parenting issues, relationship challenges, lack of communication, depression, anxiety, immigration trauma, in both individual and family therapy.
My hope is that you will find me to be a relatable therapist, who may challenge some of the stereotypes that exist about therapists. I have a warm and welcoming communication style. My aim is for you to feel supported and heard. When we need to talk about difficult topics, my aim is for you to feel a sense of safety in the therapy session.
