I am an interactive therapist who uses an array of therapeutic techniques.

I believe that healing takes place when you have someone to walk alongside to create space where you can safely deal with what concerns you without shame and without judgement. My goal is to create that space and to be that person who will walk with you as you confront what is no longer serving you and develop lasting change.

I have been a practicing psychotherapist for over 20 years. During this time, I have worked with a wide range of client issues such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and complex PTSD, with a particular emphasis on severe interpersonal trauma. This type of trauma often results from issues related to adult and childhood sexual/physical abuse, intimacy partner violence, and insecure attachments. I work flexibly, using a wide range of counseling approaches to create a treatment direction to successfully address each client's particular needs.

Dr. Gard has a PhD in Health Psychology/Behavioral Medicine with over 30 years of clinical experience. Clients span a wide variety of diagnoses. She sees clients Age 5 to seniors. ETNH office is open Mondays through Thursdays and by appointment to serve the community. She can provide biofeedback, neurofeedback, EMDR, hypnosis, light therapy in addition to eclectic approaches (cognitive and behavioral) to address your specific needs.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I received a Master's degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University and my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis.

The tired, overlooked and underappreciated human being still carrying the baggage of their last relationship, tough childhood or draining job. Fighters who have lost their spark, but are somehow able to keep everyone else’s flame burning. I see you struggling… silently slipping below the surface. I want to help.

I love working with anyone that feels like something has not been going right for them, be it for a long time or just a little while. I enjoy working with people that have anxiety, depression, trauma, attachment difficulties and people that just are feeling, again, like something is off. I seek to both equip my clients with the skills and tools they need to more effectively get through their lives as well as address inner difficulties so that the quality and satisfaction of life can be increased.
