My role as a counselor is to partner with you in your journey toward integrated wholeness and health and to provide you a safe space to be vulnerable, courageous, real and imperfect; for you to come as you are and to just be.

We all experience life in different ways. We all struggle with something mentally or physically. Some struggle with trauma, anxiety, depression, or challenges with having a neurodivergent brain. I have a strong educational background in disorders such as depression, eating disorders, learning disabilities, trauma, and addictions, and I am familiar with the implications and potential setbacks such disorders can cause. Being the daughter of a soldier has helped me become familiar with the many different transitions within the military lifestyle. I also conduct individual and group counseling services to sex offenders in which I guide them in developing specialized strategies for stopping abusive behavior, being accountable, and taking responsibility for the harm they have inflicted on their victims.

Our office believes that access to counseling should be easy and comfortable. I personally try my best to never turn away a client, schedule immediately, and work with any financial barriers. Although I work with a variety of treatment goals and treatment modalities, I am known for my work with children, trauma experienced populations, relationship counseling, addictions, military and advocacy for community health. When working with children, I always involve the parents and I attempt to assess in a variety of settings to assure I have the entire picture. Counseling should feel comfortable and safe.

My main forms of therapy tend to be solution focused, cognitive behavioral therapy and person centered with a priority in making changes in behavior and thinking. However, all forms of therapy are used in my practice including but not limited to narrative, reality, mindfulness, play therapy, some art therapy, and sand tray therapy to explore all facets of the self. I will use whatever works best for you. I believe that therapy is a place to explore uncomfortable emotions, issues, and trauma, as well as explore who you are, who you have been and what you want for your future with a focus on your strengths, resilience, and balance.
