Hello I am Glenda Sloan, a Licensed Professional Counselor and my approach is to provide a safe welcoming environment for clients to express their concerns and hopes for improvement. Due to the virtual platform, I work most effectively with teenagers, adults and couples facing relationship conflicts and life crisis. As a private practitioner, my clients range in age from 17-65 and bring to counseling a diverse set of issues ranging from human sexuality, abuse, drug use, mood disorders (e.g. Anxiety & Depression), serious mental illness and family, parenting and marriage issues. My process involves getting to know my clients and building trust as we work together to determine how the counseling process can best serve them. Once trust is cultivated and the issues are unveiled, we're able to move forward with a Person Centered focus that intersects psychology and a biblical worldview.

With over 20 years experience as a therapist, and as a graduate of Argosy University Sarasota, Florida. Dr. Holt specializes in Reality Therapy. She is currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Areas of expertise include but are not limited to children and adolescents, couples, anxiety and trauma. Dr. Holt is an interactive, solution-focused therapist. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. Dr. Holt integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client.

My therapeutic style is empathetic, energetic, relatable, approachable, and passionate. I know therapy can be scary, so I try to create a safe and positive environment. Clients will feel that I’m truly in their corner while not shying away from pointing out blind spots to aid in their growth. My ideal patient is someone who truly wants to break cycles, heal, and do the work to feel better holistically.

Life certainly takes unexpected turns! How, then, do we live balanced, authentic lives in the midst of intense stress, loss, and change? My goal is to help you examine, heal, grow, and gain perspective. Like peeling back layers of an onion, therapy provides clients the opportunity to see that many life events are interconnected by family patterns, past trauma, grief and loss, boundary issues, and learned coping strategies, to name a few. Therapy also gives clients opportunities to strategically prepare for the future, explore personal values and spirituality, strengthen relationships, and clarify goals.
