I have worked in various settings pouring into the lives of children, families, and adults. I firmly believe in meeting people where they are. My theme is "you can always begin again". I have over 20 years’ experience with adoptive families, children, and attachment. I am passionate about helping family, parents, and children navigate BIG changes in healthy ways. I understand first hand, being a parent of 6 beautiful adopted children myself, the challenges, emotions, fears, and successes that can come up along the way. I am skilled in attachment & view this as critical to understanding how people develop and navigate relationships. I consider myself an expert in Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder and can spot these symptoms and behaviors in both children and adults. Early intervention is KEY to successful outcomes.

Tierney graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with her Masters in Mental Health Counseling. Tierney has been working in Mental Health in a variety of settings including private practice, inpatient/PHP/IOP, University Counseling Centers, and short-term virtual mental health programming. Tierney as a practitioner sees herself as passionate about the patient/therapist alliance. She feels this is one of the most important factors in patient progress and healing, “We are co-pilots on this journey, I am not working for you, I am working with you”.

My goal as a therapist is to help clients attain their personal goals that lead to improvement in their quality of life. I provide a warm, safe, and confident environment to foster positive change. I am a Licensed Certified Social Worker in the state of Arkansas. I have served various positions in the mental health field since 2009 and have been a licensed therapist since 2013.

I am a multi-degreed Chicago native, who graduated from ASU with an Education Specialist Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with a passion for community and helping others obtain total wellness. I enjoy working with varied populations, i.e., families, couples, adolescents, children, young adults, multicultural populations, and passionately strives, through therapeutic support, to effectively address personal life challenges. I feel proficient in working with anxiety, depression, disruptive behaviors, relationship challenges, self-esteem, trauma, SMIs, and LGBTQIA+ social, individual/community relationship issues.

I like to think I have a unique skill set coupled with life experience that equips me to be a dynamic therapist. I served as a Marine in the military, spent 20 years working in the pathology field looking at healing the body and now work with clients from 5 years to older adult healing the mind. Therapy is difficult to navigate and can feel messy for the whole system (friends, family, work, school, and more). I value your experience and how that has shaped core beliefs. Because we have these core beliefs, doesn't make them true. Let's assign new rules to these beliefs and heal the system as a whole both in body and mind.
