I believe in a Client-centered, Cognitive-Behavioral approach with an emphasis on personal responsibility, accountability, and ownership of problem solving to bring about personal change. I specifically use the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) model. The goal of ACT is acceptance of what is out of personal control, and a commitment to action for life improvement and enrichment. Additionally, mindfulness training including meditation, relaxation, and guided imagery can be used for therapeutic intervention.
I work with many types of mental health and life-adjustment issues including but not limited to: * Mood/Emotional disorders * Anxiety related disorders * ADHD (Including ADHD Testing) * Adjustment difficulties to life stressors * Divorce * Parenting strategies * * Pre-op distress/ post-op recovery * Chronic pain
I offer a wide range of clinical hours, including evenings. Tele-therapy is also available for established clients. As a Limited Licensed Psychologist, my services are supervised by a Fully Licensed Psychologist. My clinical supervisor is Dr. Thomas Mooney, EdD.
