Life. It can be wonderful and it can be frustrating, discouraging, sometimes devastating. Sometimes when things aren't going well, we need help. Maybe it is the stress of work or family. It could be deep discouragement about... life. Lose someone? Marriage limping along? kids seem distant? Feeling hopeless? I love helping people when life is difficult. I have hope for you, and can see the light at the end of the tunnel when you can't. I've seen dark days in my life. We'll work together, build a plan and carry it out to find a solution to a better life. There is a way out, you just need a guide.
Family relationships can be amazing... and they can be exhausting! I understand. It seems like they can be the source of our greatest joy as well as our greatest pain. I love being a dad and husband, and it carries over to the work I do. I believe those relationships can be wonderful, it just takes some work to improve skills and habits.
During the difficult times, we need help. I've seen that in my own life. I've been married 30 years and have 4 adult kids. It has been tough at times! In the past, I've faced big health problems, battled depression & anxiety, faced financial struggles, and lost both parents. Through this, I've grown to realize the importance of enjoying everyday, gratitude!

I can bill several insurances and accept private pay, as well as a sliding fee scale for those unable to afford good health care. I do my best to keep cost from being a concern for people. We can discuss how billing works and I'll do my best to help you get answers. I don't participate in EAP.

After outlining what a client is looking to work on, we typically jump in and begin the process of making changes. Typically, if you want to make changes in your life, you need to change something. We focus on lifestyle, habits, and skills. We'll work through how to view things and addressing thoughts and emotions as well. My goal is to work my way out of a job, by freeing you from problems.

I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as DBT skills as I work with clients. I operate from a Christian perspective for those who would like to include faith in their therapy. At our first session, we'll look at the goals you have and begin to outline a plan to get there. I tend to be practical and give 'homework' each session so you can move closer to your the life you want.
