I have experience working with adults in recovery from substance use. I have found a deep affinity with the recovery community and feel honored to do that work. I also have years of experience working with youth in different capacities. My thesis in grad school focused on the intersection between Neurodiversity and LGBTQIA+ identities and how this intersection can inform a framework of Belonging as embodied praxis.
Holding a container of unconditional positive-regard with an attitude of curiosity and care is an integral part of my approach as a therapist. I have trained in several somatic-based practices such as EMDR, Focusing, yoga, and massage therapy. My training in these areas, in addition to other trainings, has led me to adopt a trauma-informed and somatic lens.
Most people come to therapy because they want to make changes in their life. However, I have found that a deeper dive into the healing process often leads us to discover that we are already complete just as we are. In this light, I view the patterns that my client desires to change not as something to fix, but simply understand and integrate into wholeness.

Belonging and Identity
Brene Brown says that "true belonging only happens when we present our authentic, imperfect selves to the world." It is with this understanding of belonging that we will invite participants to go on a journey with their identity, to uncover their innate gifts and root into a deeper sense of self that is intrinsically tied to a collective. In this group we will find ways to share our personal story through art-making, simple ritual and the practice of council in order to identify and express the unique gifts that each person’s story has to offer the world.
