My desire is for my clients to know they have someone in their corner when they come for their session - someone who will listen, advocate, and encourage them in the areas they are seeking growth. When counseling, I seek to provide an understanding and compassionate heart for my clients who have courageously taken a step towards change. I greatly enjoy working with children, adolescents, and young adults struggling with anxiety and depression, as well as those who are survivors of abuse. I consider it a great joy and privilege knowing I can play a small role in a client having a breakthrough moment.

My goal for counseling is that you and I will understand and trust one another, identifying your goals and working to overcome whatever obstacles are in your way. I believe that anyone who seeks counseling does so because of a desire to live your best life, and my desire is to help you do just that. With over 20 years of experience as a licensed counselor, I will help you to move toward solutions that will bring about positive change. While my clinical training and biblical worldview inform my approach, your goals and needs are the priority of each session.

Areas of focus are, not limited to, use of EMDR therapy, Dissociative Disorders, “Tween” age (7-12yrs old) and Teen (13-19yrs old) TRAUMA, depression, identity issues, adult TRAUMA, (ADD/ADHD) attention deficit disorder, high functioning spectrum disorders, anxiety, PTSD, , coming out of abusive relationships, spiritual warfare, premarital counseling, blended family issues, marriage/family, grief/bereavement, parenting, teen age mentoring, children who may be struggling at home, in school, or new and significant changes in life as they have known it. Other areas of focus include divorce, play or art therapy methods of interaction.

I am an experienced therapist who has worked with those struggling with addiction, mood disorders (including bipolar disorder), personality disorders, and trauma. I enjoy working with adults, adolescents, and families/couples. I primarily use CBT/DBT modalities but can adjust to the needs of the client.
