Raquel Montes, LCSW (she/her/ella) is a bilingual English–Spanish, first-generation Latina therapist dedicated to serving the community with compassion and cultural humility. Rooted in her commitment to serve the community — “de servir a la comunidad” — she supports teens, families, and individuals. She uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), mindfulness and grounding strategies and more to support clients.
Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and make sure we’re a good fit. I’ll spend time learning about you, your story, and what feels most important for you to work on in therapy. We’ll talk about your journey so far, your goals, and what you’re hoping to get from this space—at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
I work best with teens, individuals, and families—especially those from bilingual, bicultural, and first-generation communities—who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to start. You don’t have to be 100% ready—just willing to give therapy a try.
