I am a counselor and art therapist providing individual therapy to children, teens, and adults. Common concerns I address include anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, grief, challenges in relationships, and boundaries. My goal is to provide a space in which individuals feel free to express their inner experiences without judgment. I meet each person where they are on their journey. As a result, my approach is affirming, culturally responsive, and individualized. I am trained in specialized treatment approaches, including art therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Art therapy provides a creative avenue to visualize goals, change perspective, develop a deeper understanding of emotions, and stay anchored to the present moment. EMDR is a structured therapy designed to alleviate the distress associated with traumatic memories. DBT provides skills to build healthy relationships, gain peace of mind and tolerate distress.
