Experience and Background: As a licensed clinical social worker and health care administrator, I have over 25 years of experience in providing quality, client-centered therapeutic interventions to a variety of populations, to include comprehensive diagnosis and treatment planning. I prefer to use a solution-focused therapy that identifies chronic and acute symptoms and then looks for healthy, realistic solutions. I believe that every human being is important and has great potential for success and happiness. Furthermore, I strongly believe that everyone has the capacity to heal and recover, given the right tools and interventions.
I love working with families and individuals from age 2 to 102. I use play therapy with small children and also provide beginning and advanced training in parenting skills.
Finally, I have a great deal of experience working with acute and past trauma, grief and loss, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, mood disorders, somatic disorders, substance abuse and sex addiction, personality disorders and psychotic disorders.
