If you’ve ever felt like you’re explaining yourself over and over and still not quite being understood, you’re not alone. A lot of the queer and LGBTQ+ adults I work with come in feeling stuck, discouraged, or unsure whether therapy can actually help after past experiences that missed the mark. I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with over 30 years of experience. Most of my clients are queer adults, and I try to offer a space where you don’t have to overthink your words or explain who you are.
I’m also the mother of two queer kids and I run a support group for parents of queer children, which shapes how I understand both personal and family dynamics.
I work in a collaborative, down-to-earth way. We talk about what’s going on now, what keeps getting in the way, and what might help things feel a little less heavy or stuck. If therapy hasn’t worked for you before, it doesn’t mean you did anything wrong. Sometimes it’s just about finding someone who feels like a better fit.

Parents with Pride is a supportive, welcoming group for parents and caregivers of LGBTQ+ children and teens. It’s a place to talk openly, ask questions, and connect with other parents who are learning and growing alongside their queer kids. Whether you’re just starting out or have been supporting your child for years, you don’t have to do it alone. Parents with Pride offers community, shared understanding, and space to sort through feelings that can come up along the way. We believe when parents feel supported and informed, queer kids are better supported too. Everyone is welcome, judgment is left at the door.
