Are you eager to feel better about yourself and your relationships? Past experiences of feeling misunderstood, questioned, criticized, or rejected shape the way you show up in the world. Maybe you fall into people-pleasing tendencies, chronic avoidance of certain situations or topics, or an overwhelming feeling of hopelessness that you’ll never find what you’re looking for. Many people feel they must “fix” aspects of their personality in order to heal. But the best way to shift your experience in a sustainable way is by getting to know your protective patterns in a loving way and learning to soothe your fears.
I help mixed race people, interracial couples and other "inbetweeners" feel whole and connected through trauma informed somatic practice. Some of the modalities I use include Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems, and Emotionally Focused Therapy. My practice is private pay meaning, which gives us more privacy and flexibility in your treatment.
Contrary to what your past experiences, family dynamics, and oppressive institutions might have you believe, you make sense, you belong, and you can build relationships where you feel emotionally connected. I'd be honored to join you on your journey. I offer a free 20-minute consultation which you can schedule by visiting my website.
