Despite your trials and tribulations, it’s okay to want more out of life. Going through difficult times in life is inevitable, but we can learn how to handle the hard times better. I have seen the resilience of people and have made it my mission to help clients reconnect to themselves and get to a better place than where they started. I want you to feel heard and seen in therapy, so we will work to build a strong therapeutic relationship based on mutual respect and goals. Our sessions will often be structured and follow an agenda but within a relaxed atmosphere where you feel comfortable to speak freely.
To best understand your needs and meet you where you are, I may conduct assessments to determine your baseline. These evaluations will help us to develop your treatment plan and track your progress toward goals over time. I have found the clients most willing to put work into therapy are the clients most likely to see change take shape in their lives.
I have a Bachelor’s in Social Work from Prairie View A&M University, a Master’s in Human Sciences (focus in Sociology and Psychology) from Our Lady of the Lake University, and a Master’s in Social Work from Simmons University. With more than 12 years of experience, I have worked with children, adults of all ages, and individuals with disabilities.
