I invite clients both young and old to take an active role in learning ways to increase meaning and enjoyment in their lives. I work with adolescents, adults, and parents struggling with issues of depression and anxiety, sexuality, and gender identity. Through drawing, storytelling and play, I help kids put their feelings into words and learn effective ways to connect with others. I recognize and celebrate neurodiversity as well as expansive gender expression.

I am a clinical social worker with an MSW from University of Albany's School of Social Welfare. Earlier graduate work was a Master of Psychology, concentrating in Marriage and Family Therapy. Additionally I spent over ten years working as a birth and postpartum doula and childbirth educator, which has offered me a unique background for working with families. In addition I completed a certificate training for working with victims of assault to enhance my knowledge of trauma and its effects.

I would describe my therapy style as warm, non-judgmental with a dash of humor. There are very few things that will surprise me, which means feel free to be the real, pajama wearing, haven’t showered this week, I have NO CLUE what I’m doing with my life you. Everyone comes to therapy looking for something different — to make changes, gain new skills, vent, or have someone that isn’t your family to talk to. Good news, I will be all of those things.

**I am currently accepting new clients.** In the moments when we feel overwhelmed and hopeless, we are often prevented from being the best person we are capable of becoming. My clients want to reduce their depression or anxiety, improve relationships with family or peers, process racial/sexual/physical trauma, find more authentic ways to express their identity, or just talk about how hard it is living their lives. I work with teens and adults who are struggling with areas of adversity and who wish to build greater resilience in their lives.

**NOT ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS** It can be frustrating to be living with a chronic condition like diabetes or experiencing a crisis like infertility and have no one in your life understand your experience. I am a licensed clinical health psychologist. I specialize in the intersection between physical and mental health. Specifically, I have spent nearly 10 years working in both diabetes and women's health care, which allows me to speak the language of these experiences. Clients of mine often remark that it is nice to have a therapist who already has an understanding of their experiences without having to provide up-front education.

I am a therapist of color with 7+ years of experience as a Smith College Counseling Services staff therapist where I treat traditional-age students, Ada Comstock Scholars and graduate students and supervise MSW interns. My experience includes work in a community mental health outpatient clinic and as a crisis clinician in the Northampton area.
