For years I've worked with youth and families who have experienced trauma and mental health struggles, anxiety and depression. I partner with those I work with to help them achieve their goals to live a healthy life. Sometimes you need help just finding who you are, where you fit in this world and how you can be understood. So often we need to be reminded of our own humanness, our flaws and how those common struggles can bring us together. We’re all just people trying to get through life. I am Dr. Bill Bautista; a bilingual/bicultural (Spanish/English) licensed clinical social worker in the state of Illinois. My education and experiences are based on formal schooling in Mexico and United States. I have worked in private practice since 2012 specializing in therapeutic work with children, adolescents, adults and multigenerational families. In my practice, I draw from past experience working with diverse clients in hospitals, clinics, non-for-profits, police, schools, college and university settings. I apply various therapeutic models & tailor sessions to the specific needs of clients.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I utilize systemic thinking by looking beyond an individual and observing how their surrounding environments/relationships impact them. I find this approach to be highly effective and necessary to promote personal growth. I believe that everyone is worthy of being able to share their story in a supportive, non-judgmental environment. I feel privileged to be a part of someone's journey to understanding their past, being aware of the present and setting goals for their future.

I am an open-minded, empathetic, and solution-oriented mental health practitioner dedicated to supporting and assisting clients with feelings and experiences that can be difficult to navigate. I look to build nourishing relationships and create a safe environment in which clients have the space to change, heal, and learn about themselves, free from judgement and assumption. With a background in sport psychology, I practice with an understanding of the intersection of mind and body, promoting physical and emotional well-being.

I work with primarily adults with a variety of presentations such as anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), developmental disorders, learning disorders, ADHD, and mood disorders, as well as trauma and challenges related to identity formation.
