I have a background of working with youth and children dealing with depression, anxiety and the throws of life. Personally I identify as a cis-female, Black and Filipina, heterosexual therapist. I have personally experienced prenatal loss/ stillbirth. I also have a background as a former LEO as well as military veteran for almost a decade.

No matter what intersection of our identities we hold, and our unique history of lived experiences, all of us live through times where life just feels a little bit (or a lot bit) hard. Maybe you’ve lived in that difficult space for so long, it feels like your normal. Or maybe it’s really uncommon for you, that when it does happen, it feels like a shock to your system.

I am a psychotherapist who also has a certificate as an empowerment life coach. My life coach certificate is from the Empowerment Institute, Rhinebeck, New York. I received my Master of Science degree in Social Work from Columbia University's School of Social Work. The impact of trauma and discrimination in ones life experience is explored during the treatment process. I have had significant success in working with women (and men) who are living with anxiety and/or depressive symptoms.

I have dedicated over 30 years to provide an avenue for healing to survivors of trauma. As an integrative therapist I am not restricted to a particular methodology or school of thought. Instead, I can draw on different methodologies and treatment modalities. I am a therapist who gets to the heart of the matter quickly. I can assist you in finding a higher level of inner peace. In this therapeutic relationship, you are nurtured while dealing with challenges, and together, we will explore practical solutions and strategies for your journey.

I work with adults, teens, and children experiencing a range of concerns including anxiety, stress, parenting issues, school or work challenges, and life transitions. Clients are often interested in taking a pause, reassessing their current situation, and collaborating to try new approaches, improve coping skills and resilience. My goal is to help clients move forward in their daily lives with greater ease, a sense of purpose and peace, and curiosity to care and connect to themselves and others authentically.

Sometimes you know how you feel, and other times you don't. Sometimes others understand you, but a lot of times you feel misunderstood. Maybe you struggle to understand yourself and what's going on inside of you. I would be honored to partner with you to help you find words to narrate your experience, guide you towards a deeper understanding of your situation and yourself, and help you find healing and change through a safe and caring therapeutic relationship.
