I am a licensed psychologist who works with teens and adults to address Depression, Anxiety, Stress, Relationship Issues, Infertility, Postpartum Issues, ADHD and learning disabilities in both therapy and testing. My therapy clients are individuals seeking to improve their overall functioning through exploring and identifying personal patterns so they can learn to make more successful choices in their lives. Through helping clients develop healthy coping and decision making skills, I aim to instill a long lasting sense of well-being.

Many of us feel disconnected from others and ourselves. We seek a truer and healthier sense of our well being and presence in the world. In my work with adults and teens I help individuals become healthier versions of themselves whether they’re working through anxiety, depression, troubled relationships, addiction, life transitions or emerging symptoms of more serious mental illness and trauma. I believe each of us needs to be seen and heard, and respected in our unique complexity. Underlying the issue that brings us to therapy is the desire to change and heal, even when that change is difficult to put into words.

We are deeply interested in learning how our clients would like to change and grow, and supporting them in this process. I pivoted to my career as a therapist 16 years after earning a B.A. in Economics at University of Chicago. I earned my LCSW at Smith College. My name is Saba Omidvar and I offer evidence based, culturally responsive psychotherapy services. I have extensive experience working with clients with diverse cultural and diagnostic needs and my approach is centered on using evidence based strategies to help you meet your goals. I do not believe in a one size fits all approach, and work with each client to create a highly individualized treatment plan to address their concerns.The modalities I most often utilize are cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral and mindfulness based approaches. I have been intensively trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and DBT PE.

Often times children, adolescents and their family members may not know what they want or need. As an experienced therapist, I work collaboratively to help understand how thoughts, feelings and actions are connected. Many clients are struggling with relationships, personal, academic or professional goals. We will examine the root causes, behavioral challenges and environmental factors which may contributing.
