Many individuals within this population suffer with mood disorders, anxiety, school & sport performance stress, identity crisis, family conflict, and low self-esteem due to familial/societal expectations and competitive culture. As a child, teenager, or parent, managing all these life stressors can take a toll on our mental health. My hope as a therapist is to make clients feel safe to process these struggles, develop healthy coping mechanisms, and improve their social/ family connections around them.

My approach to therapy is based on developing a deep emotional connection with the people in our lives, improving self-esteem, accessing inner resources to cope with difficulties and learning to have compassion for ourselves and others. Although therapy can be very helpful when we are going through a difficult time in our lives, it is also an important self-care practice. Just like we attend yoga or the gym to take care of our bodies, taking care of our emotional and mental health is just as important. For me, wellness needs to be holistic, both body and mind need to be treated to truly achieve inner peace and fulfillment.

I spent well over a decade climbing the corporate ladder and I ultimately became a managing director and equity partner of a successful capital management firm in the Los Angeles area. Although I had reached goals and achieved significant professional success, I also experienced a lack of personal fulfillment from my career. I enjoyed my job, my clients, and my colleagues, but at the same time I felt that something was missing. At that time, it was my own experience in therapy that helped me grow to redefine what success truly means.
