I am one of a HANDFUL of Filipina American therapists based in Houston, the fourth largest and most diverse city in the nation. I am trilingual in English and the Filipino dialects: Tagalog and Cebuano. I have a unique understanding of the bicultural/immigrant experience, being an immigrant myself. I believe everyone has an innate need to feel seen and valued. This is my goal in my practice: that the person sitting in front of me knows their value and provide a safe space to process the jagged edges of life. I want to ensure that the goals clients have in therapy are met and to empower them to face the other side of my office door.

Our practice works with Black clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and stress management to process the origins of their concerns through a racially-sensitive lens. We also work with adult clients seeking to improve their relationships with self and others by helping them understand and process the impact of historical and generational racial trauma on their relationships with themselves, their families, their friends, and their partners.

The most gratifying aspect of my work is when I'm able to witness your attainment of a true sense of mental wellness and emotional stability, a state where you feel confident in your ability to face and cope effectively with your life challenges. I specialize in helping mature clients, college students, young and established professionals, and individuals deal with life and cope with various stressors, changes, and traumatic events that may be affecting their emotional and mental well-being.

Being human means experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, transitions in life, grief, pain, even fear, uncertainty, trauma, and doubt at some point. We can go from living our lives to being overwhelmed by our experiences, which can bring shame, anger, frustration, or self-loathing. When faced with these issues, the overwhelming need for a safe, encouraging, supportive space and acquiring access to tools that will help us navigate and better understand our mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical selves becomes essential for getting unstuck and moving forward.
