Are you a teen or young adult who overthinks, worries too much, has difficulty focusing because of stress, or fears you're falling behind? Do college, choosing a career path, managing relationships or life transitions feel overwhelming? The pressure to be attractive, fit in, feel understood, earn top grades, and get into the best schools are hard on teens. Choosing a career path, interviewing, living on your own or supporting yourself, or making big relationship decisions can feel scary as a young adult. You don’t have to go this alone. I provide individual counseling and couples counseling for adults, adolescents, and children.

Relationship difficulties do not define a relationship. Mental health challenges do not define an individual. They are natural human trials to be experienced. I have over a decade of knowledge as a research investigator in psychology to assist in your counseling journey through experiences. I approach the human condition as if we contain natural resources, yet to be mined, to achieve full potential in life and relationships. There’s optimism in human nature and it contains hope to aspire towards greater self-understanding. Once a person becomes more self-aware of his/her behavior, it’s possible to change or adapt for the better.

I work with couples where one or both individuals suffer from anxiety and are ready to move from stuck and afraid to freedom and peace. This can be from a trauma that keeps them from showing up authentically in their world. It can be from the pressure of being a church, community or business leader who feel they must save face or suffer in silence. It could also be those constantly struggling through systemic and multigenerational trauma, depression or PTSD. I even help couples in their intimate relationship that they want to strengthen, transform, and save.

Currently Accepting New Patients! An ideal client voluntarily comes to therapy seeking assistance resolving the struggles they experience which are interfering with their daily functioning. The client is willing to engage in the therapeutic work with their time and energy in the effort to move toward healing.

Life's journey presents challenges for us all in unique ways. When the challenges become unbearable and affect our ability to function and connect to family and the world as we desire, we may need a safe place to voice these concerns and time to work through them. In the therapeutic process, my goal is to allow clients to feel safe, heard and able to re-connect to themselves in open in honest ways, so the personal work of therapy can begin.

So what IS therapy? Does it mean that I am crazy? Is something wrong with me? Will I be judged? No, no, and no. Despite what our peers may tell us or what we our culture has told us, therapy provides an opportunity to process your thoughts, feelings, and emotions in a safe place. It can be very instrumental in helping individuals work on resolving problems/issues, craft achievable goals, learn new patterns of thinking, and develop healthy strategies to cope with certain life challenges and difficulties in an effort to enhance overall mental health and well-being.
