I bring seven years experience working with teens and adults in residential and community settings. My experience in residential has prepared me to work with mild to severe disorders such as Bi-Polar Disorder, Borderline, Schizophrenia, Depression, and PTSD. I primarily use CBT and DBT to challenge your thinking and teach you new skills to replace behaviors that no longer serve you. Be prepared to be pushed into areas you may normally avoid or have your beliefs examined to determine if they serve you currently.

I enjoy working with both couples and individuals. Couples therapy can consist of troubles with communication, sex therapy concerns such as education, dysfunctions, lack of desire/interest, pain in sexual activity, medication side effects, and anxiety/depression related to sexual issues, post-affair recovery, and relationship conflict across the lifespan. I also work with those struggling with depression, anxiety, relational problems, including family systems. Starting this journey can feel awkward at first, but I am here to provide a safe environment for you to process and address a variety of your concerns.

Jihan Sims is a psychotherapist and Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who holds a MSW in Social Work from Smith College School for Social Work with a concentration on clinically focused treatment, and a BA in communications with a concentration in Organizational Communication from San Francisco State University.
