I approach the therapeutic relationship with authenticity, warmth, humor and non-judgment while meeting clients where they are. My approach is collaborative and curious, placing you as the expert of your own life while offering insight, compassionate support and holding space for vulnerability throughout the healing process. I believe all struggles in life to be valid and worthy of acceptance and empathy and I believe in the human capacity for resiliency. I place strong emphasis on building a trusting and safe client-therapist alliance and I strive to empower my clients while working together toward goals and desired life changes.

Each person experiences mental distress uniquely. My aim is to partner with my client to ensure their safety in our shared space, create a bond of trust, and then dive into problems and solutions. Whether one experiences identity- or event-based problems and whether those are caused by individual development or social conditions, I strongly believe in the innate ability of trusting partnerships to overcome the troubles in our lives. If I'm not the right therapist for a person, I will work hard to keep them safe until they decide how to move forward.

Life can be complex: relationships, family, school, work. Our lives can be further challenged by the unique aspects of our times. We are under constant bombardment of information, straining our ability to focus and compartmentalize. Factors such as trauma, shame and guilt further complicate things. My approach is to help "break it down and make it simple". This means helping people untangle their thoughts, pressures and feelings, while collaboratively devising plans aimed at learning to manage and alleviate whatever symptoms are causing distress.

Seeking support is courageous and a strength to be cultivated. Throughout life we encounter hardships, losses, and transitions, often uncovering emotions and experiences that are difficult to sit with. Despite obstacles there is an inherent human capacity for learning and growth, and in therapy we explore how to tap into these inner resources and break free of patterns that no longer serve you. Through introspection, curiosity, embodiment, and authenticity, I believe you can come into better relationship with yourself and others.
