Hello, my name is Rachele Catlett Gomez, LCSW. I provide therapy to young adults and adults experiencing challenges in their everyday lives. My approach is to use evidence-based practices to support clients working towards a therapeutic goal. My approach is to use evidence-based practices to create positive change in my client’s lives and relationships. I utilize evidence-based practices to assist individuals with reaching their therapeutic goals. Some approaches that I utilize with clients include CBT, DBT, strength-based, and person-centered approaches.
I knew I wanted a career where I would be able to help support people with everyday life struggles. When starting my higher education courses I was able to take a Social Work class that I felt provided me with a degree that would allow me to do just that. I started out working with children and adolescents then moved towards young adults and adults.
I strive for a collaborative relationship to support my clients in meeting their own therapeutic goals. I encourage clients to create goals that can easily be measured, are achievable, and set timelines for the achievement of those goals. I will check in with clients on how they are feeling about the therapeutic process and make adjustments when needed.
