Sometimes it feels like we’re not really living our life, we are merely existing. We might be going through the motions, but we’re disconnected from our thoughts, feelings, and ourselves. Sometimes, even going through the motions requires too much effort, and we sink into a dark period of isolation and depression. No matter what we do, it feels like we can’t reengage in our life. As a trauma-informed grief counselor, I can help you loosen the grip that fear, pain, and disconnect have on your life and help you remember your own power and strength, so that you can live your life with greater integrity, peace, and ease.
My approach to counseling is strength-based and present-focused. I have advanced training in a variety of modalities and will frequently draw from NARM (NeuroAffective Relational Model), Mindfulness & Somatic-Based Practices, Existential Therapy, and Positive Psychology to help you discover a path to healing that aligns with your beliefs, values, and goals.
Those who seek counseling have often reached a place in their lives where the strategies they have for navigating the world are no longer working for them, or are somehow limiting their ability to create what they are most wanting for themselves. With compassion and encouragement, I will help you discover your own innate strengths and natural resilience.
