Throughout therapy, I will join you where you are on this part of your journey and encourage you to become an active participant in your healing process. I strive to provide a compassionate and accepting environment where you feel understood. I believe in building a strong therapeutic relationship as the primary modality of change in order to address your individual needs. When collaborating, I utilize techniques that employ your strengths to help you thrive. My therapeutic lens includes a combination of cognitive behavioral, client-centered, and Adlerian therapy, along with warmth and humor, to address stressors in your life.
I am a fully Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Iowa and earned my Master’s Degree in Counseling from Western Illinois University- Quad Cities, and my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Iowa.
I am available to work with teens, adults, and children ages 5 and older. Common concerns I treat include helping clients develop awareness and improve coping skills to manage anxiety, postpartum symptoms, grief, substance abuse, historical trauma, and relational stressors.
