Human beings do best when in connection with each other. When we are in pain, confusion, fear or sadness, we need support and understanding from others most of all. Yet we all, no matter who we are, experience the trauma of living within oppressive systems such as racism, sexism, weightism or homophobia. This trauma disconnects us from each other and from ourselves, and contributes to our personal pain. My hope is to support you in your personal journey of recovery and to move together with you in developing increased ease, resiliency and capacity for social change.
Systemic trauma contributes to our personal experiences of depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, substance abuse or eating disorders - as well as disease and chronic pain. Grounded in building a strong, collaborative relationship with you, I work with adults of all ages using an embodied and mindful modality in healing trauma, Somatic Experiencing.
I am a white, cis-gendered woman, working on my own embodied biases, knowing that my own deep personal work is the necessary basis for social transformation. I believe in our natural, human capacity for resilience, healing and growth, and am honored to consider with you how your healing may be part of your spiritual journey.
