Creative approaches to mental healthcare can effectively engage children and teens, as well as adults, in this important work. I believe in customizing therapy to each unique individual and family, to bring about the shared discovery of methods that will best suit their needs and support the achievement of their personal goals. Within a therapeutic partnership, my clients build strength and skills for identifying, tolerating, expressing, and addressing what words alone often fail to, so they may better manage through all of life's challenges independently.
Trauma-informed therapy encourages the exploration of connections between life experiences and how our nervous system's response to stress is shaped. Developing a deeper understanding of the function of our feelings and behaviors, historically and generationally, allows us to address the root cause, build related skills, and sustain growth long term.
Need help to support your child's social-emotional development or manage your own reactivity? Looking for a new approach that may be better suited for you or more effectively engaging your child in therapy at this time? Interested in strengthening access to coping resources, confidence, and self-esteem? Consultation can help you decide on the best fit!

My practice tends to focus primarily on helping children and families better understand the symptoms and behaviors associated with anxiety and/or executive functioning-related conditions. Building skills to self-monitor, while also strengthening both internal and external resources, can help all of us learn how and when to implement the most effective coping strategies with tact and independence.
