Hi, I'm Rachel Saunders, a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern at Ad Astra Counseling. At the heart of my work is a deep commitment to helping people build resilience. Whether you're facing challenges related to mental health, relationships, identity or life transitions, I aim to create a space where you feel supported, understood, and empowered to move forward with strength and clarity. I work with people of all ages experiencing anxiety, mood disorders, and more. I also have experience helping individuals with ASD navigate life’s unique challenges, as well as supporting children with emotional and behavioral concerns.
My approach blends a humanistic perspective that honors your unique experiences with evidence-based strategies tailored to your needs. My goal is to help you build insight, strengthen resilience, and develop confidence to better navigate life’s challenges with greater ease, balance, and purpose.

A Space for Neurodiverse Adults
Community without masks, a virtual group. This supportive weekly group is designed for neurodiverse adults seeking connection, personal growth, and community in a neurodiversity-affirming environment. Group topics may include coping skills, navigating relationships and social situations, emotional wellness, self-advocacy, independence, identity, and managing the experience of feeling different or misunderstood. Participants will have opportunities to build meaningful connections, develop practical life and social skills, and explore authenticity and belonging alongside others with shared experiences. This group aims to provide a welcoming, respectful, and supportive space where members can learn, connect, and grow together.
