I serve clients who want to gain self insight. This often gives clients relief from depression and anxiety because they have discovered their triggers, thought patterns and internal beliefs that have lead them to their presenting symptoms. I love serving couples who struggle with communication and have a desire to feel connected and "seen" by their partner.
I find the combination of humor and professional expertise allows clients to feel comfortable and gain self insight. I offer many outside resources for clients to use in between sessions. Through the CBT approach, we explore the "why" behind certain behaviors and thought patterns and use this insight to implement new communication and coping skills.
I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) and have worked with couples, teens and individuals struggling with ADHD, anxiety and depression. Through a strengths based approach, my clients learn more about themselves thus improving self-confidence, communication, mood and overall outlook on life.
