I love helping a person become their best version of themselves. Most people seeking counseling feel defeated. My strategies help them find hope and to develop new approaches to help them become powerful people with tangible and deep changes in how they feel and in their beliefs about themselves so that they are living lives of joy and fulfillment. Ideally a client is ready to try new approaches to their life, is ready to get out of the constant cycle of overthinking, and is ready to take a journey deep inside where they can heal emotionally and physically, and emerge ready to truly LIVE.
I specialize in Internal Family Systems and am A.R.T trained. I specialize in treating trauma, addictions, eating disorders, womens issues and teens. Beyond just talking about problems, I emphasize healing wounds, learning new tools and long term healing. I am knowledgeable about medications, but focus on strengths based positive psychology.
I am particularly good at helping a client feel at ease and comfortable. Using research supported modalities such as IFS, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, and Somatic approaches, my clients generally see significant improvement in their problems and a reduction in anxiety/depression within the first few 2-3 sessions.
