I have had the privilege and honor of working over 17 years in the mental health field treating individuals, couple's, and families. I utilize an integrative approach including techniques from CBT, solution-focused, systemic, and ACT. Treatment is collaborative and tailored to meet client's goals. My focus is on empowering clients in discovering their potential to work through life's challenges. When indicated, I offer specific strategies in response to clients' challenges and problems. I have extensive experience in working with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, life transitions, and parenting and family issues.
I treat people ages 15 to 64. I have advanced training in and also facilitated an intensive outpatient group based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I have seen this approach transform the lives of many of my clients and integrate this in my practice with individuals as well.
I have a special interest in perinatal mood disorders and am currently pursuing advanced training in this area.
