I strive to bring a compassionate, collaborative, and nonjudgmental approach to therapy. I am passionate about creating an environment that allows clients to freely explore and identify thoughts and feelings as well as behavioral and relational patterns that no longer serve them. I work with clients to develop new skills and to make changes that positively transforms their lives. I have experience treating a range of presenting concerns including trauma and stress-related difficulties (e.g., PTSD, nightmares, moral injury), insomnia, depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions, emotion dysregulation, and interpersonal problems.
I utilize a number of research-based therapeutic approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy, and skills training for affective and interpersonal regulation. I vary my approach based on the individual needs, experiences, and circumstances of each client.
My approach to therapy also emphasizes client strengths and respect for diversity, and considers the influence of social justice, relationships, and community on the individual. Together, we will work to define and address your treatment goals in order to help you engage more fully and meaningfully in your life.
