I am passionate about helping people feel cared for. I see the therapeutic relationship as a powerful force for growth, healing, and hope; I believe a large part of therapy includes hospitality, so my goal is for clients to feel comfortable and seen. I love helping others find hope in God, but warmly welcome clients of varying faith backgrounds. God has given, and continues to give, me so much grace and I desire for others to experience that as well.
Rachel received her Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Cedarville University and her Master of Social Work from the University of Iowa. She has professional experience working in a variety of settings including foster care, adoption, school settings and therapy in Christian private practice.
She uses an integrated approach to therapy and is trained in TBRI (Trust-Based Relational Intervention), as well as in TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), working with teens and adults. Rachel is licensed as an Independent Social Worker (LISW) and sees ages 13 and up.
