I have experience in working with older kids (8+), teens, young adults and parents who are stuck in a cycle where they feel unable to change. Many of my clients are dealing with anxiety and depression, and many are questioning whether there is more underneath. I have helped many families navigate the life-changing process of discovering and dealing with new diagnoses of ADHD (in particular girls and women), high functioning autism spectrum, learning disabilities, gifted issues and self-harm. I also work with kids struggling with behavioral issues and provide parent classes titled "When Everything's a Battle" and other topics.
When working individually with kids and teens, I encourage parents to participate in the process by offering parent coaching sessions and classes. I have worked with many parents individually to help them learn how to connect with their partners and kids. I am an experienced group leader and offer the potential to meet outdoors and through teletherapy.
I provide a safe, nurturing and challenging space for kids and their parents to work. I listen carefully guide clients to discover and weigh their options. I want to help families learn that their lives can be different by practicing the skills to make real, lasting changes. Parents and kids can figure out how to connect and get along again!
